We just finished our discussion regarding creating passive income with adsense, now I will try to introduce to you to the second part of the article which is Affiliate Marketing and how you can create passive income from it.
Basically Affiliate Marketing is just selling products or service that is not yours, you are only marketing it and each time you make a sell with the product you are marketing a portion of the sale will be your income which is also called commission. This technique is best especially to newbies with blogging since we presume right from the start you don’t have any product or service to sell yet. You will be able to create your own product as you specialize with the niche you selected or if you have an existing knowledge and expertise with something then you can go ahead and sell it online.
Our goal is to achieve a passive income by employing this technique and apply it to your website. How do you actually make a passive income from affiliate marketing? First, of course, it should only require a fraction of your time or none at all to consider it to become passive. I say with this type it only requires an hour of your time every day to 1 day per week at most if you are just starting out.
Researching and making an article for the product will eat most of your time but after finishing it, you just have to check your earnings and see money flow in to your account. You should not stop with just one product if you see a good money flowing in, repeat the process with other affiliate programs to double or triple your earnings, or when the time comes that the first product you market has to finally taken out by the publisher, or it is already irrelevant to your readers.
What I like with digital products is that as long as the product is still existing, you can still earn from it because of the affiliate links that you put out, unlike seminars and events, after it has finished you need to take down the affiliate links you created and it also means additional work for you. That’s pretty much the principle of earning passive income with affiliate marketing.
1. Digital Products – Products of this type are usually information or entertainment products, it comes in different forms or file format, such as ebook (electronic book), audios and videos. Publishers prefer this kind of products because of its ease of distribution plus minimal or no cost at all with handling and shipping fees. It is also easier for customers to use these products because of the growing popularity of electronic devices that caters to this kind of products. It is also readily available for the customers as soon as payment process is completed, not to mention some of these products are much cheaper than traditional forms. Some of these products pays awesome commission too, so it would be worth the try selling these products.
2. Website Affiliate – These products range from membership sites to websites that sells their own products such as the Max Blog Press which offers a range of products for blogging as well as useful free plug- ins you can use with your own site. An example of membership sites that offers affiliate program as well is the Truly Rich Club of Bo Sanchez which you can see the affiliate logo on my my sidebar. Another good affiliate site that you can take advantage is Jomar Hilario’s Affiliate program, in this case you will be promoting seminars of Jomar Hilario that pays awesome commission too. You can also take advantage of affiliate programs offered by your hosting platform and your domain registration site such as Bluehost and Go daddy. I am sure there are a lot of affiliate programs that you can register which I am not aware, you can also share it with other readers for their own benefit by putting the address on the comment below, readers will be glad to know about them.
There are actually a lot of affiliate programs that you can sign up, its just up to you to start the work and make money with them. I personally made money with my affiliate sites and it so damned exciting to see in your inbox informing you that you just made a sale from a certain affiliate site. It makes you want to ask for more and it also reminds and push you to work harder to achieve your desired result.
Some affiliate sites are free to participate, all you have to do is to accomplish their required forms, submit it and wait for the approval. Some affiliate sites doesn’t even need approval, after signing up you can immediately post links in your blog to market it.
Try signing up with some affiliate program with clickbank for digital products and amazon for a larger variety of products you can market online.
Please take note that these sites may take some time approving your application for affiliate programs. They are going to review first the information you submitted to them before marketing some of their products.
You should be aware that not all products that you will come across online are worthy of your readers attention. Think first of the benefits that it can give to your readers not the commission you will get from promoting it, what we are after is the readers trust that is why you are recommending a certain product that you think will help them and not make them feel they were ripped off by useless products you marketed.

You should also take note that if you are not sure about the product and you have not actually used or tested it, do not recommend it, this will just make your blog unpopular and readers will feel that your blog or website is not worthy of their attention.
